Radiology Technologist- PRN
Position Summary:
Reporting and accountable to the Director of Radiology, the Radiology Tech is responsible for greeting the patient and preparing them for their exam, operating and maintaining the x-ray equipment and capturing the best quality images to help accurately make a diagnosis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Practices Radiation Safety at all times.
• Performs darkroom functions.
• Transports patients.
• Maintains X-ray room in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Maintains computerized records, files, and/or reports.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment, and when necessary call for service repair deemed.
• Assists the supervising radiologist with administrative functions.
Responsibilities include professional demeanor, being customer service motivated, and able to communicate effectively with patients, family, and healthcare personnel. Must be a team player
Education, Knowledge and Skills
Technologist must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology School.
ARRT (R) required.
CT/X-Ray experience required.
CPR/BLS certification
Requirements
Experience and Training
Minimum of six months experience, preferably in a hospital setting
Physical and Mental Requirements
Often work with infectious specimens. Infection control and sterilization protocols must be followed to minimize these hazards. The position requires frequent hours of standing and stooping.

History:
Ward Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility providing healthcare services to Ward County and 14 surrounding counties in the area. The hospital has served residents of Ward County since 1956.
The hospital features a Level IV trauma-designated emergency room, in addition to a wide range of medical services including laboratory, radiology, general surgery, sleep wellness center, respiratory therapy and cardiac/pulmonary rehab, rheumatology, physical therapy, and two rural health clinics.
